The John Deere Sales and Marketing Center—a three-story office building that is LEED Gold Registered and houses nearly 500 marketing professionals—provides support and service to John Deere sales branches and agricultural and turf dealerships in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This facility features a full cafeteria, meeting and training rooms, a video production studio, a fitness center and an open-office atmosphere that contributes to increased teamwork, flexibility and performance of employees.

Our nation’s military personnel deserve the best living and working spaces available. Partnering with Walsh Construction, Citadel Electric contributed to the designing and building of 189 three- and four-bedroom military housing units at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.

Digital Multi-Purpose Range Complex

The Digital Multi-Purpose Range Complex (DMPRC) at Ft. Riley was five years in the making, resulting in the modernization of an existing range to digital capacity. The DMPRC is a 24-hour, live-fire training facility with immediate digital feedback of the training. Citadel worked on seven supporting facilities and the renovation of an existing air traffic control tower.



    Citadel’s projects included:
  • Ductbank systems and associated excavation and sand backfill
  • Upgrade of the existing medium-voltage system
  • Control systems for target emplacements

Custer Hill Bed Down Facilities

Working with M.A. Mortenson as the general contractor, Citadel provided electrical systems work for the Custer Hill Bed Down Facilities, which include 10 separate buildings: Brigade and two Battalion Headquarters, two Company Operations, Band Training, two Tactical Vehicle Maintenance Facilities, and Unit Storage and Covered Training.

According to Mortenson, "This project required complete development on an 80+ acre site, including infrastructure, to serve nearly 1,000,000 square feet of future facilities planned for the adjacent area.”

Whitside Barracks

When a job needs doing, Citadel gets it done. The Whitside Barracks at Ft. Riley required the fast-track Design/Build construction of 10 multiple-story barracks complexes that house 156 men each. Each barracks is approximately 56,000 sq. ft.



    These barracks showcase the following work completed on time by Citadel Electric:
  • Site medium-voltage electrical
  • Secondary services and lighting
  • Site telecommunications and CATV
  • Relocation of existing and installation of new 15kV aerial electrical system
  • Lightning protection
  • Interior distribution, lighting and telecom

The 1st Brigade Infantry HQ in Ft. Riley, Kansas, accommodates 10,000 soldiers. The facility includes a Joint Operations Center, a Network Operations Center, conference rooms, a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, and briefing rooms.
